1) Arrival to Kathmandu - Airport xfer to Hotel
Upon arrival to Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport, you will be met by one of
our representatives and driven to your hotel, where you can rest and relax.
At 7pm we will pick you up and take you for traditional Nepali dinner,
and you will meet your fellow Reiki practitioners, Reiki Master-Teacher,
and guides.
2) Day Tour - Holy sites of Kathmandu (Pashupatinath,
Bodhnath, Durbar Square, Swayambunath)
We leave from Thamel at 9am (Kathmandu Tourist district) for your spiritual
tour of Kathmandu's holy sites. Our first stop is the Pashupatinath, when
of the world's most famous Hindu pilgrimage sites. Here you will see Sadhus
(Holymen), Hindu funeral pyres, and temples devoted to Shiva, Parvati,
and other Hindu gods. Next, we go over to the Buddhist holy site of Bodhnath.
The Bodhnath is home to hundreds of Tibetan Buddhist monks, and boasts
the Nepal's largest Buddhist Stupa. We'll take time for Tibetan tea, and
visiting Thanka schools and monasteries before going to our next stop
Durbar Square. The Durbar Square in Kathmandu is home to the Kumari, "living
goddess." After a break for lunch, we will visit the Kumari's palace,
and several of the ancient temples in the heart of old Kathmandu. Finally,
we will finish the afternoon at the Swayambunath (Monkey Temple), where
Buddhism and Hinduism blend in this sacred hilltop stupa. This is a great
place for views of the entire Kathmandu Valley.
3) KTM - Namo Bouddha (Level 1 training)
Our bus departs at 8am to the Namo Bouddha Monastery. This Tibetan Buddhist
Monastery. is the retreat home of the famous Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche
and houses hundreds of novice monks. It is also known as the place where
the Lord Buddha, in a previous life as a prince, gave his body to a starving
tigress and her cubs. There is a very old temple in the village of Namo
Bouddha, located below Thrangu Rinpoche's land, which sits on the top
of the mountain. We will stay here for two days of training and meditation.
Afternoon devotion with the monks will be open to whomever would like
to participate.
4) Namo Bouddha (Level 2 Training)
After morning devotion and breakfast, we begin our training moving beyond
Level 1 Reiki, to Level 2 incorporating the use of Reiki symbols and distance
Reiki. This sacred site at Namo Bouddha intensifies the experience of
opening to Reiki energy, so allow yourself to radiate in the natural beauty
and mystic energy of the Himalayas. The vibrations in Nepal are palpable,
not only to those trained in Energy Work, but to almost everyone who visits
here. We will spend the day sending and receiving this energy before breaking
for the afternoon. Namo Boudha temple walk is optional before dinner.
5) Namo Bouddha - Shreebahn Nature Camp (Level 2, Natural Medicine
Tour)
Our bus departs at 8am for a morning drive past the Kathmandu valley to
Nepal's Hill Country. In the early afternoon, we arrive at Shreebahn Nature
Camp. Here we will take a break before your nature walk where you will
learn about local plants and their healing properties. Natural healing
is part of Nepali culture, and your guide comes from a long line of Nepali
Shamans. He will teach you about Nepali healing and mysticism. Also, visit
a rural village and talk to some locals before returning to the nature
camp. In the evening, we will finish our training and receive attunements
before dinner.
6) Shreebahn - Pokhara (Manakamana Cable Car and Temple)
We depart at 8am towards Pokhara. A few hours into our journey, we will
stop at one of Nepal's most famous pilgrimage sites, Manakamana. Then,
after a breathtaking cable car ride over the Trisuli river and a 1000
meter ascent to the top of Gorkha Hills, we will enter the village of
Manakamana and visit the Manakamana Mandir, home of the goddess Bhagwati
who grants wishes to her faithful devotees. We will continue our journey
to Nepal's most beautiful resort town, Pokhara, after our visit to Manakamana.
Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will have free time for dinner at one of
the many great restaurants on Pokhara's "Lakeside."
7) Pokhara (Master Training)
Pokhara is in a valley surrounded by Himalayan peaks, and the views are
amazing! There is no more appropriate place to begin your Reiki Master
Training as you take your energy work to the next level, and learn about
the healing power of nature, minerals, and elements. We will have time
for meditation and visualization as we learn about to teach Reiki to others
and begin a Reiki practice (if you so desire).
8) Pokhara (Master Training - Tibetan Medicine Man)
Before beginning our training, we will go out to a Tibetan refugee camp
where we will learn about Tibetan medicine and herbal healing from a Tibetan
doctor. While we are there, we will visit the famous Devi's Falls and
Mahadev Cave located just near the Tibetan camp. After lunch we will continue
our Master Training and receive attunements.
9) Pokhara - KTM
We depart at 7am for a day long journey back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival,
you will have time to check-in to your hotel. Optional dinner with the
group in Thamel for those who want to celebrate!
